Nigeria is safe for investments, NACCIMA tells foreign investors

'Foreign investors can be assured of the safety and security of their investments'  shared by Sola Obadimu, the Director General of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).Nigeria is a safe sanctuary for both domestic and foreign investors, the DG claims.

He urged foreign businessmen to take advantage of the many opportunities, invest in regional businesses, and establish production facilities within the nation. At the opening ceremony of the three-day International Exhibition titled Beauty West Africa, which took place in Lagos on Tuesday, Obadimu provided the guarantee.

According to Jamie Hill, the exhibition's organiser, there are more than 200 exhibitors from 200 different countries, including China, Pakistan, Egypt, the Gambia, and other nations.

"The significant takeaway from this year's exhibition is that it is the largest edition we have ever had to date," stated Hill, Managing Director of B and B Events. It emphasises how important the West African and Nigerian markets are. Here in Nigeria, the beauty market has grown to 5.28 USD.

That has a significant impact on the nation's entrepreneurial environment. It is crucial to emphasise that we have international government representatives here. We have approximately 200 exhibitors internationally including formal participation from China, Pakistan, and Egypt.

We so extend an invitation to anyone to take use of the exhibitors' offerings. Essentially, the expo serves as a corporate platform that cultivates worldwide collaborations. Nigeria serves as the hub for trade between West Africa and the rest of the world. In order to increase the GDP, we wish to develop SMEs in Nigeria, bring in foreign brands to produce here, and strengthen the made-in-Nigeria brand.

Speaking about the exhibition's importance, Obadimu called it a positive step forward for the nation. He declared, "The exhibition demonstrates to the world that it is still possible to successfully host world-class exhibitions across the nation." It also shows that Nigeria's market is still robust.

Agbofoun Leonard, the first vice president of the Benin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, shares her thoughts about the display. "We are here in Nigeria to learn how things are done," the woman remarked. Our goal is to gain knowledge about organising exhibitions. In our nation, we have organised exhibitions before, but not to this extent.

Our purpose for being here is to observe firsthand how things are done so that, when returning home, our exhibitions will be better."What we have observed pleases us. We told our president when we arrived in Nigeria, but he had doubts about our safety. However, our mother is the same.

"We requested permission from our president to travel to Nigeria, and we have found that Nigerians are amiable since we arrived at the border. We have informed our president over the phone that we are in good hands and will get there without incident.
